Amarnath Yatra 2025 Online and Offline Registration Guide:

Online Registration Process:

To register online, visit the official SASB website: jksasb.nic.in.

  1. Go to ‘Online Services’ and select ‘Yatra Permit Registration’
  2. Accept the guidelines and enter your details (name, Aadhaar number, mobile number, yatra date)
  3. Upload a passport-size photograph and a Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC)
  4. Verify your mobile number via OTP
  5. Pay the registration fee of Rs. 220
  6. Download and print your Yatra Permit

Offline Registration Process:

If you prefer to register in person:

  1. Collect token slips from Vaishnavi Dham, Panchayat Bhawan, or Mahajan Hall three days before your yatra date
  2. Visit Saraswati Dham the next day for a medical check-up and registration
  3. Biometric and Aadhaar verification will follow, post which you will receive your RFID card

Pilgrims will find insulated huts and weather-resistant tents stationed across camps on both the Pahalgam and Baltal routes. These shelters, which can be booked on-site, offer essential protection from the cold and unpredictable Himalayan weather. As per the Jammu Police advisory, using these shelters is highly recommended for adequate rest and safety.

  1. Government depots at Chandanwari, Sheshnag, and Panjtarni supply rationed food items at controlled prices.

Via Baltal: The Faster Route

This 14-kilometre trail is steeper and more physically intense, but can be completed in one to two days. It suits fit travellers with limited time who are comfortable with a demanding ascent.
